PAMELA STEWART,

PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER

PAMELA STEWART began her PR career in Los Angeles working for Edelman International, one of the top PR firms in the world, before forming her own company in 1986. At Edelman, she worked extensively on national consumer product accounts such as American Honda Motor Co., Kentucky Fried Chicken, Canadian Tourism, Sega Electronics, Data Age video products, Mattel Toys, and others.  She won a PRSA Award for her work with American Honda Motor Co.’s Power Equipment division.

After relocating to Boulder, Colorado, her company became renowned for its services specific to the natural products industry.  Pam has handled PR programs and special projects for many start-up companies, emerging and established brands, and new product launches in both the conventional and natural products industries, specializing in creating mainstream consumer awareness of natural products, a much sought-after position for burgeoning natural products companies.  The company has had extensive experience with national and targeted industry media placement, including Personal Care, Food, Beverage, Supplement and Functional Foods.  Past and current natural products clients include Alba Botanica, Aura Cacia, Blue Diamond Growers, Frontier Natural Brands, Cascadian Farm/Small Planet Foods, White Wave, Choice Organic Teas, Applied Food Sciences, National Farmers Organization/New Country Farms Brand, Boericke & Tafel and others.  In the mainstream food and beverage industry, Pam represented Mike’s Hard Lemonade/USA, one of the top-selling specialty malt beverages.

Pam has also worked extensively in several medical/health-related specialties. She managed a major product launch for Kensey Nash Corporation, a manufacturer and marketer of products for interventional cardiology.  She also has experience in the prosthetic industry as well as other health-related fields. She works in BtoB as well as BtoC platforms, having extensive experience in ingredients for functional foods and nutraceuticals as well as finished products.

Pam is a free-lance writer and has written extensively for COOKING LIGHT magazine, SKIING, SUCCESSFUL LIVING WITH DIABETES, HOMECARE, TEAM REHAB, CHOICES FOR HEALTHY LIVING, and others.  She co-wrote “Cutting through the Fat,” a cookbook for Jenny Craig Weight Loss Centers.  She was also health and fitness editor for FOOTHILLS magazine, a Boulder, Colorado publication, and has also co-hosted a health and fitness show for KBVI-AM, a local radio station.  Pam owned and managed a FLEET FEET franchise from 1990-1992, a sports retail store for multi-sport athletes.  She and her partner built the Southern California-based store into the most successful franchise in Fleet Feet, Inc.  Pam also competed as a nationally-ranked age group triathlete from 1986-1993, and has completed the IRONMAN TRIATHLON five times.  She speaks German fluently, speaks French well, and has lived and worked in Germany, France and Finland.  She has a BA in International Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an Associate’s Degree in Public Relations from UCLA.  Pam was president of the SLOW FOOD USA Boulder Convivium, an international organization promoting sustainable agriculture, local farmers and conscious eating.

 

 

JEFF NEDELMAN

   JEFF NEDELMAN was a former Capitol Hill chief of staff and public relations executive. He brings to clients more than 30 years of success in developing, articulating, and executing winning health, nutrition, wellness and science core brand marketing business strategies, social media, and integrated public affairs and public relations campaigns. His broad-based experience includes almost a decade of senior staff work on a wide variety of issues in the U.S. Senate for the late US Senator Gaylord Nelson (WI) and James Sasser (TN); executive management roles in Cargill’s Washington, D.C. office; Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications with the Grocery Manufacturers Association; and, in Burson-Marsteller’s Washington, D.C. and New York offices, where he was the highest billable Managing Director in the firm’s Healthcare and Brand Marketing Practices.

At Burson-Marsteller Jeff put together and led an interdisciplinary team of advertising, marketing, public relations, and health professionals who launched a “Future Foods,” Practice that not only spanned the world, but also was one of the first full-scale efforts to understand the power that foods and nutrition could help heal and prevent disease.

From 2002-2004 he served on the Corporate Advisory Board of Longwood University's College of Business and Economics where he helped lead the College’s first brand marketing and reputation management effort. He has also served as an Adjunct Fellow at the University of Maryland Center for Food and Agricultural Policy, Virginia Tech's Center for Food and Nutrition Policy and the Georgetown University Center for Food and Nutrition Policy.

 

 

LINDSAY WHITCHER

LINDSAY WHITCHER has over 14 years of communications experience, and has worked for myriad companies across the country, from Boulder-based start-ups to global corporations, offering counsel and execution in the areas of public relations, internal/external communications, written communications, social media strategy, event planning and management, crisis communications, and change management.

Lindsay served as the Director of Communications for a Boulder-based wealth management firm serving high net worth entrepreneurs and their families.  Her professional career began in the corporate sector, where she was the Manager of Communications at Corporate Express, Inc., a $4.6 billion office products distribution company headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado.

Lindsay is a Junior Member of Social Venture Partners of Boulder Valley and donates public relations counsel to the Family Learning Center, a non-profit dedicated to encouraging successful lifelong learning and economic self-sufficiency for families of diverse cultures and limited incomes.

A native of Illinois, Lindsay received her Bachelors of Science in Communication with an emphasis in English from the University of Colorado.

 

 

SUSAN HOLDEN WALSH

 CONSULTING SENIOR ADVISOR

SUSAN HOLDEN WALSH approaches public relations and marketing consulting with an eye on creativity, efficiency, and cost-conscious budgeting. With a Masters in International Management (Thunderbird) and a B.A. in Economics (University of Colorado, cum laude, minor - environmental conservation), she has more than 20 years of experience in marketing communications on both the client and agency sides.

She worked with international businesses and agencies in New York City including: Cohn & Wolfe/ Burson-Marsteller/Y&R (Taittinger Champagne, Colgate-Palmolive, COMBAT); Family Media Sports Marketing - World Tennis, Golf Illustrated magazines; and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Sarah Eykyn is a consultant and coach who specializes in campaign strategy, product launches, content creation, marketing, branding, presentation and media relations. Since 1998 she has worked with national producers of organic and natural products in the US, and represented authors, institutions and green energy producers.  She works daily with trade and consumer media, including live TV and radio, and all forms of social media. In addition to PR and marketing, Sarah has worked as a travel writer, photographer and editor.
